Other Pictures of Clermont Trip
Pictures: A "store" which sells incense for ancestor worship, which includes animal sacrifices, women doing laundry at the community water source, A Nazirite service with women (in foreground) separated from men (far side) and preacher in the middle, a typical house with ancestor worship hut (notice the round shape and thatched roof of this ancestor worship temple), Dennis Nkosi told us this young woman (see below) walking ahead of us on the sidewalk is a medium for speaking to ancestors and pointed to the colorful anklets on her legs. The anklets truly were on her legs! Jason got a better picture with his video shot, but I'm not yet able to access it.
We now have 71 to go! TEAM 200 is designed to show our incremental progress forward (every $25/month) of new support. Current Prayer List - 12/10/09
We find our support levels in the red coming to the end of '09. Please ask the Lord to provide us with generous help and donations to meet our needs. If you can help us with a tax deductible donation for '09, you can make it payable to ABWE and send it to our agency's address above. Thank you.
For the leadership Kim and I are giving to men’s and women’s Discipleship Groups at Faith Bible Church. Kim meets with her ladies on Monday night and I meet with my men on Thursdays (5am) and Saturdays (6am). We are very encouraged by their enthusiasm to "feast" on the Word of God and apply it to life. We are all studying Gospel Christianity by Tim Keller
Pray for us as we continue to work hard to try and raise support and wait upon His perfect timing. I've always hated sitting and waiting in doctor's offices. Knowing that there is work to do over there and having to wait to get there is tiring. Pray for our endurance and patience.
Clark Pathways Website coming soon - Praise for Kim's hard work thus far on our Ministry and Family website. We hope to launch it before Christmas.
For jobs for Kevin and for Tiffany. Pray too for Tiffany as she will graduate this month (ceremony in May 2010) and will probably live with us for a time. Also pray for Kelly and Jason too as they are finishing up their semester.
Praise the Lord for the equivalent of 31 new supporters at $25/month. Pray the Lord will continue to provide for our needs and bring glory to Himself as He does it. .
For our support team % to make it to 85% by the end of February 2010 so that we can make it to ABWE’s Field Prep Seminar (mandatory before leaving for South Africa).
Wisdom for Kim and I as we continue to attempt to make our family a place of care and safety for Kaitlyn and Broden. They are making good progress and seem to be very responsive to our leading and correction. Pray that they learn to overcome the “orphanage mentality”, but above that they need to receive Christ by faith. They are open and talking often with us about spiritual things, but still have not grasped their sinfulness nor their personal need for Christ as their Savior. They attend AWANA every Wednesday night with Kelly and are working through their booklets and memorizing verses from God's Word. We spend time talking to them to teach them what the verses mean so that they understand what they are memorizing. We know that in the Lord's timing they will see it. Pray for patience on our part as we teach and guide them.
Please continue to pray for Casey and Darryl Meekins. Casey's father passed away recently. Darryl has indicated that Casey is doing better lately. Pray for the Lord's comfort and peace that passes understanding.
